Privacy & cookies

Updated 6 September 2026. This notice describes the data features on selfpublishingcommunity.com.

Optional analytics

When you accept analytics, we load Google Tag Manager and use Google Analytics 4 to understand visits, guide readership and engagement. This can include page views, time spent, scrolls, outbound link clicks, downloads, browser and device information, and approximate location derived by Google from your connection.

We do not load Google Tag Manager or Google Analytics before you accept. Rejecting analytics does not prevent you from reading the website. We do not enable Google advertising signals, ad personalization or remarketing in this setup.

Analytics uses first-party cookies, including _ga and a property-specific _ga_ cookie, to distinguish visits. These can last up to two years and may be renewed on later visits. Our page-view integration removes query strings and fragments from the page URLs it sends.

Google processes analytics data through its services, which may involve processing outside your country. Read how Google uses information from websites and Google’s privacy policy.

Your choice

Use Analytics settings at the bottom of any page to accept or reject analytics. We remember your choice in this browser for up to 180 days using local storage. Clearing browser storage removes the saved choice.

If you withdraw consent, we stop subsequent Analytics collection, remove this setup’s Analytics cookies and normally reload the page. If browser storage prevents us from saving your choice, the refusal applies to your current visit; use your browser’s storage controls to remove an older saved choice. Withdrawal does not remove data already collected. You can also use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Website delivery

Cloudflare hosts and protects this website. Delivering pages involves processing connection information such as IP addresses and request details; security features may use necessary cookies. This is separate from our optional Google Analytics tracking. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

This version of the website has no account registration, contact form or checkout. We do not ask you to submit names, email addresses or payment details through it.
